Try This: Spectrum Coconut Spray Oil
I used this new Coconut Spray Oil from Spectrum when I made a quick stir fry after I cleaned the fridge of leftovers. This oil has a nice natural smell of coconuts that worked nicely with the veggies and chicken I was cooking in the wok… a nice change from sesame seed oil.
I’ve never tried Coconut Oil for cooking… although I did slather it on my body when I worshipped the sun back in the day. A friend from the Philippines uses it all the time and is convinced this is why everyone in her family lives to be at least 100 years old. Jeez, maybe they’re really embalmed with it.
Anyway, I did some research and found out that Coconut Oil is rich in lauric acid, a nutrient that supports the body’s immune system and has been shown to increase your HDL good cholesterol level. Some people would say that the downside is that it is a saturated fat, although there is debate back and forth over whether saturated fats are completely evil.
The Spectrum Coconut Oil Spray is low in fat and carbs. It doesn’t contain fish, meat, poultry, eggs, shellfish, gluten, dairy, corn, yeast, grains, molds, citrus or legumes. It does contain soy lecithin.
