Plated + Served: On The Second Day of Christmas…
If my true love gave me Two Turtle Doves, I’d have to keep them as pets because I don’t know if I’d be able to prepare them. Mama’s not particularly fond of recipes featuring little birds (pigeons, quails, etc.).
However, I love Dove® chocolate, so this little romantic recipe will fit nicely into the “12 Days of Christmas” collection.
The melted chocolate makes a perfect fondue for dipping fruit. And if you wind up with any leftover (ha!), save it because it just might come in handy for some of the other “Days of Christmas” recipes.
Turtle Dove® Chocolate Fondue
prep: 10 minutes
cook: about 10 minutes
you’ll need…
1 9.5 oz bag DOVE® Silky Smooth Milk or Dark Chocolate
1 cup heavy whipping cream
fresh fruit (strawberries, sliced bananas, pineapple) for dipping
let’s get to it…
Unwrap the chocolates and place in a medium bowl; discard the wrappers.
Heat the cream in a small pot until just boiling.
Pour the cream carefully on top of the chocolates; let the mixture rest for 5 minutes.
Stir chocolate until completely melted.
Dip the fruit using a small fork or toothpick into the chocolate.
